Trial Day Agreement & Service Waiver

I understand that dogs are animals and that behaviour can be unpredictable, even in well-managed environments. While Patsy & Tony’s Paw Retreat takes every reasonable precaution to maintain a safe environment, I acknowledge that interactions between dogs, people, and environments carry inherent risk.*

I certify that my dog:

• is in good general health

• is free from contagious illness

• has no recent history of vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, or unexplained lethargy

• is up to date on required vaccinations

• has disclosed behavioural concerns to the best of my knowledge

I understand that failure to disclose behavioural history including aggression, bite history, escape behaviours, severe separation anxiety, or resource guarding may result in immediate termination of services.*

I understand that:

• dogs may be separated or rested throughout the day as needed

• introductions are done gradually and thoughtfully

• enrichment and rest are considered as important as exercise

• my dog may not participate in all group activities if staff determine it is not appropriate

I understand that all new dogs attend an initial trial visit to assess comfort, stress levels, and compatibility with the environment.

Patsy & Tony’s Paw Retreat reserves the right to:

• end a trial early if a dog is experiencing excessive stress

• decline future daycare or boarding services if the environment is not the right fit

• make handling and management decisions in the best interest of all dogs in care

In the event of illness or injury, I authorize Patsy & Tony’s Paw Retreat to seek veterinary care if I cannot be reached promptly.

I understand that all veterinary expenses incurred on behalf of my dog are my responsibility.

I release Patsy & Tony’s Paw Retreat and its owners/operators from liability for illness, injury, loss, damage, or expenses arising from participation in daycare, walks, enrichment activities, transportation, or boarding services, except in cases of gross negligence.*
